Bio: Joowon Kim

Joowon Kim graduated from Guildhall at SMU with Masters in Interactive Technology in Digital Game Development specializing in Art Creation. Her undergraduate study was in Computer Science at the University of Texas at Dallas. She has spent three years developing an MMO game at KingsIsle Entertainment in Austin, TX. She currently teaches at the Art Institute of Houston in the Game Art and Design Program and a cofounder of a startup Oncomfort LLC developing innovative VR solutions in the medical industry. She is a coorganizer of local meetup for game developers called Houston Game Dev Show and Tell. She is also involved in the International Game Developers Association - Houston Chapter and spends most of her time engaging with the game development community globally.
