How to create your own PCBs

Want to make your own circuit boards for that project you've been building? This course will cover basic single sided pcb fabrication using the equipment available at the lab. Topics will include artwork generation, board exposure/developing/etching. Along with other techniques used in the creation of PCB's for prototyping and home production. We will generate a 1 sideded pcb for an arduino clone, parts to finish this will be provided. Students will have to do assembly on their own, so Intro to Soldering is highly recommended for those who do not have experience soldering.

* Fee Notes: Includes cost of materials for the fabrication of a DIY arduino clone board.

No, that will be fine, we will be dealing with some slightly caustic chemicals but as long as they are capable of following instructions and wearing latex/nitrile gloves they will be able to complete the process.

You say that introduced to soldering is needed, but that is offered a week AFTER this class. Any way to switch around?
