Welding II: Welding Shop Essentials
Continuation of Welding I. This class cover usage of critical tools like handheld plasma cutters, abrasive chop saws, grinders, bandsaws, etc.
Each session limited to 6 participants to ensure personalized instruction and practice. The skills practiced will help any individual to be able to tackle any real welding project.
- Measuring and cutting (Horizontal Bandsaw, Abrasive Chop Saw, Dry Cut Saw)
- Angle grinder usage (hard and flap wheels for cleaning, grinding, and blending)
- Basic tips for working with square tubing l- ayout and tacking
You do not need to be be a member to participate.
TXRX members gain access to Welding Shop Studio Hours after completion of the course. After studio hours attendance they also be approved to work in Welding Shop without guidance.
Requirements: Closed toed leather work boots, long sleve shirt, long pants (natural fibers).
Prerequisites: Welding I (MIG, TIG, STICK) or similar
