Coding and Circuits for Young Makers

The MakeyMakey circuit board combines coding, electronics science, and mechanical engineering to unleash a student's creativity. Participants of this workshop will turn the whole world into an invention kit with the power of coding and hands-on construction.

Students will explore the basics of a simple LED light-up circuit, then they will be introduced to coding and circuitry concepts with the MakeyMakey circuit board to construct custom-coded electronics.

By the end of this hands-on workshop, teens and tweens will have:

-understand what is a circuit

-made a custom light up card

-coded a musical instrument

-gained block-based coding powers

-learned to use the MakeyMakey circuit board to continue their inventions

Students will be able to experience being the creators, and not just the consumers of technological inventions.

Please note that this workshop is intended for students in middle school or high school. This programming workshop is beginner friendly. No prior coding experience necessary.
