Woodworking III: Table Build

Learn how to mortise and tenon while building a Mission Style end table out of Cherry hardwood!

During this workshop students will continue to develop and refine their skills on the jointer, planer and table saw to dimension their lumber. Each student will learn how to use a biscuit jointer and successfully glue up a panel. We will also cover how to to set up and use a mortising machine, cut tenons on the table saw, use a tapering jig on the table saw and bevel edges using a router.

By the end of the workshop, students will have made their own Cherry end table and gained practical woodworking knowledge about joinery and glue ups. Student will have the opportunity to work through each step and walk away with a deeper understanding of furniture making and tool set-up to inform future projects.
