Vacuum Forming

Vacuum forming is a simplified version of thermoforming, where a sheet of plastic is heated to a forming temperature, stretched onto a single-surface mold.

In this class students learn how to heat and pull a piece on the vacuum former. Topics include machine operation and usage, material selection, troubleshooting heating temperatures, and how to design a mold for a variety of different applications!
