This course is a great introduction to C/C++ and to programming concepts in general if you want to move on to another language. Using Microsoft’s Visual Studio on Windows PCs, we'll write several programs to illustrate user interaction, file processing, error management, data representation, and program control flow. With these programs as a model, you'll be on your way to writing your own programs to "automate the boring stuff". Topics addressed: Development Environment, Modules, Files, Variables, Control Flow, Exception Management, Input, Output, Return Values, Parameters, Arguments, Functions, and Calls. If any of these are mysterious or if you'd like to learn the C/C++ versions, this is your course.
