Costuming: Leather Armor

In this class, students will learn basic leatherworking techniques, including how to create and use a template, cutting out a pattern, tooling, and forming/molding leather. After completing their small armor piece, students will then have the opportunity to dye or paint their finished creation.

Students should come to class with a plan on what they want to make. Due to available time and materials for the class, the piece you choose should be smaller such as a bracer, pauldron, etc.

Leatherworking I or II classes are helpful before taking this course, but are not required.
