The Sunday class will cover removing the clay and casting the second half of the mold.

Theory will cover the types of molds, materials used and types of materials cast into the molds.

Should/can students bring their own item to cast a mold of, or will items be provided? If we are able to use our own item, does it need to be sealed and/or nonporous?

Yes, please do bring your own item to use. In fact bring two or three so you can choose what will fit the amount of silicone you will have. The items shouldn't be more than 3 inches x 3 inches x 3 inches or therabouts. It will depend on the shape. It must be sealed and non-porous. If you can't put it in water, then you won't be able to make a mold from it.
